Apple Cider Recipes and Uses





Apple Cider Recipes

1. Apple Cider Vinaigrette: 

Mix 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar, 1/4 cup olive oil,

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard, 1 tablespoon honey,

 salt, and pepper. Use as a dressing for salads.


2. Apple Cider Vinegar Marinade: 

Combine 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar, 1/4 cup soy sauce,

 2 tablespoons honey, 2 cloves minced garlic, and

 1 teaspoon grated ginger. 

Marinate chicken, pork, or tofu for at least 30 minutes before grilling

or baking.

3. Apple Cider Vinegar BBQ Sauce: 

In a saucepan, combine 1 cup ketchup, 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce, 

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard, 1 teaspoon smoked paprika, and

 salt and pepper to taste. 

Simmer for 10 minutes and use as a sauce for grilled meats.

4. Apple Cider Vinegar Coleslaw: 

Toss shredded cabbage, carrots, and sliced red onion with a dressing made from 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar, 2 tablespoons mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon honey, salt, and pepper.

5. Apple Cider Vinegar Pickles: 

Combine 1 cup apple cider vinegar, 1 cup water, 2 tablespoons sugar,  one tablespoon salt, and 1 teaspoon mustard seeds. Pour over sliced cucumbers, onions, or other vegetables and let sit in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.

6. Apple Cider Vinegar Glazed Brussels Sprouts:

 Roast Brussels sprouts in the oven until crispy, then toss with a glaze made from 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar, 2 tablespoons maple syrup, and 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard.

7. Apple Cider Vinegar Baked Beans: 

In a slow cooker, combine 2 cans of cooked beans, 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 2 tablespoons molasses,

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard, and 1/2 cup diced bacon.

 Cook on low for 4-6 hours.

8. Apple Cider Vinegar Slaw: 

Mix shredded cabbage, grated carrots, sliced red onion, and chopped cilantro with a dressing made from 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar, 2 tablespoons olive oil,

3.Sauces and condiments: Apple cider vinegar can be used to make various sauces and condiments. It can be added to barbecue sauce, ketchup, and mayonnaise to enhance the flavor and add a tangy kick.

4. Preserving fruits: Apple cider vinegar can be used to preserve fruits like apples, pears, and peaches. It helps prevent browning and can be used in canning or making fruit preserves.

5. Cleaning: Apple cider vinegar can be used as a natural cleaning agent in the kitchen. It can be mixed with water and used to clean countertops, cutting boards, and appliances. Its acidity helps remove stains and kill bacteria.
