Sweet-Sour Sauce Recipe
Makes 1¼ cups
¼ cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
½ teaspoon seasoned salt
¾ cup pineapple juice
¼ cup water
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
2 tablespoons honey
2 teaspoons soy sauce
Mix brown sugar, cornstarch
and seasoned salt in a small saucepan, blend in pineapple juice, water,
cider vinegar, honey and soy sauce.
Cook and stir until the sauce thickens and bubbles 1 minute.
- Pour over crisp cooked vegetables in a large skillet, toss to mix well. Cover.
- Simmer 5 to 8 minutes or just until vegetables are tender.
